There are two types of alcohol problems in the world, willful abuse and pathological dependence, also referred to as alcoholism; increasing the difficulty in obtaining alcohol has been reported to reduce alcohol abuse but not in cases of alcohol dependence.
According to the Task Force of the National Advisory Council on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, prevention professionals should educate students, friends, and parents by providing knowledge and helping strategies for effectively identifying and addressing alcohol poisoning symptoms.
